Farewell to Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson 5th October 1940 – 30th November 2018

On the 30th of November Dad past away suddenly of a heart attack, at the age of 78.
Dad was a quiet and unassuming type of person who enjoyed the vintage motorcycle scene.
An Engineer by trade he worked for years making healthcare equipment.

He was a lifelong fan of the Indian motorcycle ever since I can remember and was one of the first to join the Indian owners club of GB. He had very little money and means to buy the bigger v twins but did achieve to buy and collect several examples of the little Indian brave. Coming from a modest background his family always came first and in later life dad and myself shared the fun of collecting and restoring Indian motorcycles. Once I had joined in with the Indian riders club he gained the interest to come along once more to some of the meetings. He was fondly named as Wayne's Dad or just Dad by some. The funeral on the 28th December went well, we achieved quite a gathering along with friends and family we had 9 members of the club turn up to say goodbye.  A special mention should go to Carl Rich for riding his own little brave all the way from Croydon and who joined us in the precession. As my Dad would say, "give that man a medal". I would like to thank all members who attended the funeral and those who sent cards. Thank you

Wayne Johnson
